Exhibitions

In May and November, Alix Holloway selects from a constantly changing inventory of loaned and consigned works to showcase new acquisitions that highlight the influence of one generation of artists on another. Public shows are a culmination and expansion of ongoing private viewings that take place all year. AH Arts’ exhibitions are curated with the varied and complex interests of our clients and  range from one person shows, medium specific conversations to thematic presentations. Please contact us for a selection of available works, schedule a private viewing, or to learn more about our upcoming seasonal exhibitions.

Community

As a vital participant of the arts community, Alix Holloway is an active member of ArtTable, Professional Organization for Women in the Arts, New Art Dealers Association, and Independent Curators International, among other groups dedicated to arts organizations, institutions and the visual arts community at large. She has served on the junior board of every major art museum in the city and regularly attends major domestic and international fairs, biennials, as well as all New York evening auction sales at Christie’s, Sotheby’s and Phillips.

Performance

With a personal passion for performance, Alix Holloway enthusiastically attends dance performances weekly at some of NYC’s largest theaters and in some of the city’s smallest. She invites cross-disciplinary collaborations at every opportunity and has hosted a number of performances, including Hivewild’s one-night only showcases of INBLUE and PATHX. She currently serves on the board of the Hivewild dance company. Alix is a founding member of the Joyce Theater’s Young Leadership Council where she has served as the Co-Chair for the last four years, during which time the membership has more than doubled.

Inspired by the history and mission of the Foundation for Contemporary Arts (her first philanthropic foray into the NYC performance and arts communities), Alix believes in carrying forward the values they set forth of supporting and creating opportunities for artists, by artists and art workers to the next generation.
